Lancing again today. Work prevented an earlier start, but in the end my
lateness stopped me going on to Goring, and my check of Lancing looked good
enough for me. Shoreham was an option but no-one there at all and a solo
session was less than appealing. I parked up to the west of Lancing.
Launched at half two ish from that end to get a better angle and avoid
rigging on the boggy Green.
Nice sesh, wind was at quite a reasonable angle, probably cross on and fine
for down the line. The rain was just about bearable, but the wind went up
and down horrendously with the squalls. I rigged 4m to start, excellent but
took a few batterings in the wallowy bits, then stuck up the 5m, ok but
then too much sail, so then 4.5m which was perfect for 1 minute...then it
dropped. By the end at 4.45pm it was a wind free wave ride back to the
beach! Waves around chest high..ish and punchy.
